A wide range of wear-resistant materials used in the comminution process, the main areas examined in this paper are special steel, non-metallic and alloy white cast iron. The most worn-out jobs were identified and discussed in conjunction with the mechanism of wear action and the machinery used. This article focuses on the metallurgical development of a material, high chromium white cast iron. The main physical properties of this material in terms of wear resistance are related to its chemical composition and microstructure. This article cites a series of specific applications involving the grinding process, demonstrating the successful applications and economic benefits of using such alloys. By emphasizing minimizing the costs of wear parts, the reader has a deep understanding of the research and practice of the ongoing development of high chromium cast iron.
