In modern industrial construction, how to give full play to the role of steel structure has been increasingly valued by people. At one time, slogans such as “reinforced concrete over steel structures” were proposed in many departments and regions. To analyze this issue historically, we should see that this type of slogan is based on the material and financial resources that the country can provide at the time and in the region and can only promote the use of a large number of reinforced concrete structures; at the same time, it also devalues and negates steel. The side of the structure. Industrial buildings cannot rely on one or a few structures alone. As far as the two major building structures of reinforced concrete and steel structure are concerned, the relationship between them will surely be a process of long-term coexistence, mutual penetration and common development to a higher level. Japan’s steel products currently used in civil engineering such as construction, bridges, and railways account for about 45% of the total steel output. In Japan’s steel industry, a new organization called the Secondary Processing Department, the Construction Steel Company, was established. In China, the corresponding indicator is only about 1%. Therefore, the iron and steel production sector, which is the basic industry of the national economy, must make its due contribution to the development of China’s construction steel industry. In order to give full play to the role of steel structures, we must seriously consider and do the following: First, determine our own building steel system; Second, improve the design level of steel structures; Third, improve the structure of steel Production and construction technology; Fourth, strengthen scientific research and international exchange of steel structures. As long as we have a set of effective measures and a set of management methods that are in line with the economic laws, then the technological level of the metallurgical industry will surely be greatly improved.
