Kyiv Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine and one of the biggest cities in Europe, the most important cultural. scientific, industrial city of the country. The population is 2,611 ,000. Two airports are the city’s gates, international one-Boryspil located 38 km away from the city center and Zhulyany, intended to serve domestic flights, 7km southeast of the city center; railway and river terminals. Kyiv is held by many to be the most beautiful of all the cities of Ukraine. Medieval chronicles called it “Second Jerusalem” and “Mother of all towns” in Kyivan Rus- Ukraine.
