《秦边纪略》是清代学者梁分所著,书中主要记载了河州卫、庄浪卫、凉州卫、甘州卫、肃州卫、靖远卫、宁夏卫、延绥卫及它们建置沿革,山川形势,道路驿站,官司戎伍,攻防得失,农畜产品以及风俗人情,还记载了沿边少数民族的分布以及活动情况。其中河州卫的记载中关于“小河套”即河曲之地的有关记载只是零散的有所提及,本文试从“小河套”的地理区划、军事地位等方面论述“小河套”地区的情况。
