近十年来文学叙述中的理想失去其超越性、规划性和荣誉感,诸多青年叙述主题的小说热衷展示理想实践过程中的痛苦,并形成了“痛苦比赛”的文本景观,叙述者由此暗示自己的价值正义和社会批判立场。“现实—文学”、“历史—当下”、“社会—个人”的结构互动给出青年理想实践痛苦化叙述的某些解释,如社会转型的历史关联、理想个体化后的孤立无援、由劳动实现理想的失效、身份遗传的恐慌等。这些理解在召唤传统中“报应”思想的降临,同时也携带着文学叙述的价值认同分裂以至于偏激。
