抗虫品种选育自十八世纪七十年代农民注意到近缘作物玉米和高粱受蝗虫为害不同以来,选择和培育抗虫品种已经走过一个漫长的里程了。前者全部被蝗虫吃光,而后者几乎完全避免了这种贪婪的杂食性昆虫的危害,对大多数作物包括饲料作物来说,原始种和地方种已被改良种所代替。近年发展的同源遗传系,就是只有某个单一的性状不同例如抗虫或抗病,这对研究抗虫性及其遗传机制有显著的便利。
Insect-resistant Breeding Since the late 1970s farmers have noticed that the proximity crop of maize and sorghum are different from grasshoppers, the selection and development of insect-resistant varieties has come a long way. The former are all eaten by locusts, while the latter almost completely avoids the dangers of this greedy omnivorous insect. For most crops, including forage crops, the original and local species have been replaced by the improved ones. In recent years, the development of homologous genetic lines, that is, only a single trait such as resistance to different insect resistance or disease resistance, this study of insect resistance and its genetic mechanism was significantly facilitated.
