9月9日上午,第十一届全国运动会中国石化杯火炬传递活动江西省火炬传递起跑仪式在南昌大学举行。省委书记苏荣高擎火炬并宣布火炬传递活动开始,省长吴新雄出席仪式并讲话。省委常委、省委秘书长赵智勇,省人大常委会副主任蒋如铭,省政协副主席汤建人出席。副省长谢茹主持仪式。8时30分,圣火护卫人员登上主席台,并用圣火火种点燃“如意”火炬后将火炬交到省委书记苏荣的手中。苏荣高擎火炬向全场致意后,将火炬交给省体育局局长刘鹰,刘鹰再将火炬交到主火炬手、两届奥运冠军杨文军的手中。之后,苏荣宣布火炬传递活动开始。
