西北少数民族在长期的历史发展过程中,创造了一系列具有地域特色的民族传统体育项目,成为人们茶余饭后、节庆假日沟通情感、休闲娱乐及健体强身的重要纽带;传承保护过程中,面临着生成发展环境不断恶化、传承人出现断层及资金短缺等诸多问题,直接影响了传承保护的质量水平;结合西北民族地区传统体育保护实际,应采取多元筹集保护资金、加快培养传承人及创新保护形式等步骤措施,以使民族传统体育得到切实有效的保护。
