The main abundant myths in The Book of Poetry include the Greek mythology of Persephone disappearing and the tragedy myth of Adonis in Syria. The bounty gods or plant gods in these myths all return from the dark place to the bright sun and turn from death to resurrection. The rich myth that contains the meaning of the resurrection becomes the carrier of Pound’s exploration of the post-war Western “wilderness”, which is the practical significance of using the myth in the poet.
