内燃机所发出的最大功率主要是由气缸内燃料所放出的热量决定的,而这受到每循环吸入气缸内实际空气量的限制。所以如果空气在进入气缸前压缩,则可以在同样的气缸工作容积下,有更多的空气进入气缸,因而可以增加供油量,获得更大的发动机输出功率。主要对当下主流的机械增压和涡轮增压的原理进行了详细的阐述,并对两种增压技术进行了比较。
The maximum power emitted by an internal combustion engine is primarily determined by the heat released by the fuel in the cylinder, which is limited by the actual amount of air drawn into the cylinder per cycle. Therefore, if air is compressed before entering the cylinder, more air can enter the cylinder at the same cylinder working volume, thereby increasing the amount of fuel supplied and obtaining a larger engine output.
