十七世纪夸美纽斯创立的班级授课制一直是基础教育最主要的教学组织形式。与此同时,人们也注意到这种教学组织形式难以照顾学生的个别差异。教育发展到今天,课程的内容加深,门类增多,同龄学生的个别差异愈加突出,尤其在适应个性发展需要成为一种世界性教育共识和潮流之时,个性化教育需要与规模教育的矛盾就愈加彰显。在以往各种解决办法中,小班化教育损失了规模优势,分层教学和走班制强调了原有行政班的保持,忽视了能力分化的累加特点。由此,我们提出了课程独立分级的方法。
