In some people’s minds, the village electrician is a poor person. What is the actual situation? The author conducted an investigation with this issue. The results of the survey were surprising and the conclusion was the opposite. The annual income of the village electrician is: 70% of the village electrician household income is lower than the average rural household income, 18% of the households and ordinary farmers are the same, only 12% of the households are slightly higher than the average farmer households. Of the 38 electricians surveyed in Xufu Town, seven were still living in dwarfed houses in the 1970s, which contrasted sharply with the small buildings in the neighbourhood where a building rises. No wonder they sigh: Now that the electrician has become a poor household. Village Electricians, this once-famous beauty difference, has now lost its attractive charm and has met with a cold face. In one village, three electricians were replaced in less than two years. The new electrician had to quit. The reason is that the electrician is too shabby and the monthly salary is not enough for children.
