New Type Nonlinear Optical Crystals Low Temperature Phase Barium Borate Nearly two decades have been carried out in foreign countries to explore the nonlinear optical crystal materials that can convert laser wavelengths. Based on a large number of experimental studies such as structure selection, material synthesis, physicochemical and phase diagram analysis, crystal culture and crystal structure property measurement, Fujian Institute of Physical and Chemical Engineering first found and cultivated low temperature phase barium metaborate (β -BaB 2 O 4). This is a new type of nonlinear optical crystal material with wide transmission band (190-3000nm) and high octave effect (d_ (11) = 4.10) and
