Lentinan is a human immunomodulator that increases the number of immune cells and enhances immune cell function in patients. However, its effect on the kinetics of proliferation and apoptosis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in cancer patients has not yet attracted attention. To this end, we used flow cytometry to detect the proliferation of peripheral blood cells in 45 patients with malignant tumors before and after chemotherapy or chemotherapy plus lentinan treatment.
