财务风险是指财务活动中由于经济组织的各种难以预测和控制的因素存在，而使得财务收益和预期收益有所差异的不确定性。随着社会主义市场经济体制的逐步完善，事业单位体制也进行了相应的改革，事业单位的经济业务呈现出复杂化。事业单位的改革在带来一定程度自主权的同时，也相应地增加了事业单位的财务风险。
