Abstract Objective To investigate whether the loss of paravertebral fat pad (PFP) posterior to the posterior neck of the CT can be used as a characteristic of injury of cervical posterior column ligament complex (PLC). Materials and Methods The retrospective study was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee, and healthy volunteers signed the informed consent form. Patients did not need to sign the informed consent form. First, three radiologists (Physicians 1, 2, and 3) evaluated the performance of cervical anatomical cervical paravertebral fat pads in one anatomical sample and ten healthy volunteers and reached agreement. Then, two cases of cervical CT (main fracture and dislocation) and 1.5 T MR images (including T 1, T 2 and short-term reversal recovery sequence) of 85 patients with suspected cervical spine injury after high-speed injury were observed by physicians 2 and 3 together. , Disc injury and bone contusion or hidden
