Professor Waseda Kato, Faculty of Science and Technology, Waseda University, and the Artificial Foot Study Group of the Faculty have developed two-legged robots that walk freely in line. The robot, named WL-9 DR, was the first successful robot in the world in dynamic walking. In today’s walking agencies, it is close to the Yang walk. Past walk agencies are taking the static walk way. That is, during walking, the center of gravity falls on the soles of the supporting legs, so the robot
