我院工程结构研究室在钟善桐教授主持下,自1975年起开展了钢管混凝土结构的科学研究工作,并一直担任建设部科研计划中本研究课题的主持单位。十年来,有计划地、系统而深入地开展了组合材料本构关系和破坏机理的研究,轴压和偏压、单柱和组合柱工作性能和计算理论的研究,各种因素对性能影响的研究,以及节点和构造的研究等;既有一定的深度,又达到了一定的广度,已初步形成了一种新体系。提出了一整套不同于过去的设计计算公式,这些公式是偏于理论方面的,受到了很多设计部门的重视,并已被广泛地用于实际工程设计中。
