Wave Intensity (WI) is a newly proposed hemodynamic parameter for comprehensive evaluation of cardiovascular system function. The WI technique was used to measure the carotid artery WI parameters, including W1, W2, NA, R-W1 and W1-W2 in 16 patients with chronic heart failure and 35 healthy volunteers. The WI technique was used to evaluate cardiovascular outcomes in patients with chronic heart failure The overall function of the application value. The results showed that the peak value of W1 and W2 in patients with chronic heart failure were significantly lower than those in the normal control group (5.44 ± 3.24 vs. 10.05 ± 6.33, P <0.01, 0.83 ± 0.42 vs 1.50 ± 0.95, P <0.01, respectively) The time index R-W1 was significantly longer (141.06 ± 41.14 vs. 109.77 ± 22.50, P <0.05) and W1-W2 was significantly shorter (214.63 ± 39.93 vs. 260.51 ± 20.58, P <0.01) Large (0.69 ± 0.26 vs. 0.43 ± 0.10, P <0.01). WI technology provides a wealth of dynamic heart-vascular interaction information and can be used as a new method for quantitative analysis of chronic heart failure.
