日本NKK公司开发了合金钢和不锈钢等二次精炼新技术,即减压精炼法。在京浜厂的VOD炉(真空吹氧脱碳)上,采用此项新技术,实现了小批量生产。打算今后在RH真空装置上也采用该技术,进行大批量生产。该精炼技术是在一次精炼的钢水中,吹入浓度为数百ppm的氮,减压后氮成为气泡上浮,夹杂物附着在气泡上也一起上浮,在一次精炼中残留的硅系和铝系等夹杂物,通过二次精炼法进一步高效率地去除。
