伊拉克新军队第一批官兵将于10月4日结束两个月的封闭训练,正式参与国家安全事务。日前,驻巴格达的外国新闻机构代表应邀乘坐美军飞机,辗转来到设在大漠深处的基库什训练基地,提前见识了这支由美国人一手调教的伊拉克新军。与此同时,美国五角大楼也专门召开新闻发布会,就伊拉克新军队的训练、装备、任务等作了详细介绍。在战后伊局势动荡不安的背景下,伊拉克新军队的发展动向引起了外界的广泛关注。
The first batch of officers and soldiers of the new army in Iraq will complete two months of closed training on October 4 and formally participate in national security affairs. Recently, a representative of a foreign news agency based in Baghdad was invited to take a U.S. aircraft and was transported to the Kishkush training base in the depths of the desert to see ahead of time the new Iraqi army trained by the Americans.
