汉代铜镜镜铭长久以来一直是传统金石学关注的对象,后来又为文字学家所重视。其实,除去已成固定套语的“常乐富贵”、“长宜子孙”等四字吉语,汉代铜镜铭对汉代韵文研究有重要的文学史料价值。严可均《全上古三代秦汉三国六朝文》之《全后汉文》1卷九七曾收录汉代铜镜镜铭十一条,但是作者收录之初衷是把镜铭当做“文”而非韵文。民国吴生大概是最早将两汉镜铭系统地作为韵文材料加以考量的学者之一。氏著《吉金文录》一书编录两汉镜铭二十八条,
Bronze mirrors in the Han Dynasty Ming Dynasty has long been the object of concern for the traditional gemmology, and later the importance of text experts. In fact, the bronze mirror Ming in the Han Dynasty had important literary historical value in the study of the rhyme of the Han Dynasty, except for the four words “Changle Fugui” and “Changyiyixie”, which have become the fixed words.
