本期选登选的是Hobson原书第15章“原子核和放射性”的后几节,主要讲放射性的应用,包括用同位素方法测定年代和放射性医学,并以切尔诺贝利事故为例讨论了核动力的风险和风险评估方法.在本章的前几节中,已经介绍了核力、核结构、同位素、放射性等原子核物理学的基本知识,为讨论放射性的应用做了准备.本书之所以如此重视放射性年代测定方法,是因为这种方法是一种重要的科学方法,它直接证明了地球上生物和人类发展进化的历史,与西方流行的伪科学特创论针锋相对.
Selected for this issue are the following sections of Hobson’s original book, Chapter 15, “Nuclear and Radiation,” focusing on radioactive applications, including the dating of age and radiology using isotope methods and the Chernobyl accident as Examples of nuclear power risk and risk assessment methods are discussed, and in the previous sections of this chapter we have introduced the basics of nuclear physics, nuclear structure, isotopes, radioactivity and other nuclear physics for the purpose of discussing the application of radioactivity. The reason why the book places so much emphasis on the dating method is that this method is an important scientific method that directly proves the history of the evolution of the development of living things on Earth and of mankind and is diametrically opposed to the prevalence of pseudoscience in the West.
