Interleukin-6 and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) are two co-factors that have been shown to promote human hematopoiesis in cell proliferation and differentiation. Recently, several foreign studies have discovered another synergistic factor, leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF). LIF can also be referred to as mouse embryonic stem cell differentiation inhibitory activity (DIA). LIF/DIA is a glycosylated cytokine with a molecular weight of 20 000 that contains a core peptide.
