On August 7, 1688, Louis XIV, the French King of the Sun, wrote three letters to King Persia, the Russian Tsar and the Chinese Emperor, respectively, and sent them to Count Cyril in Warsaw. Mainly on the matter of sending royal mathematicians, I hope the other side can agree to use the passage and provide the missionary with necessary help. Earlier in September 1688, Count Silray departed from Warsaw to Moscow after receiving the letter from the King. Unfortunately, however, Russia has put forth all kinds of difficulties, refusing missionary intervention and intentionally dismantling them. Earl of Silray was waived in May 1690
