Objective To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of establishing a model of aortic valve insufficiency by percutaneous transcatheter catheterization through peripheral blood vessels. Methods Ten healthy dogs were selected and percutaneously punctured and dilated aortic valve via femoral artery to establish aortic insufficiency model. Immediately after surgery through aortic valve angiography and transthoracic ultrasound to determine the degree of aortic regurgitation. Results All the 10 experimental dogs with immediate aortic regurgitation were successfully established. Two of them died of acute left heart failure due to aortic regurgitation. Six of the surviving dogs were moderately regurgitated in the aortic valve and two were in small amounts. Postoperative animal survival time of more than 1 month. Conclusion Peripheral blood vessels by catheterization minimally invasive aortic valve insufficiency model is feasible.
