离心泵在正常运转过程中往往会产生泵管压差或服务压力高于实际所需压力而浪费能量。对离心泵实施调速是减少能量损失的有效途经。离心泵的运行控制分手动和自动控制,调速分定压调速和变压调速,离心泵利用调速节能应根据使用实际情况选择调速方式。若是多台泵同时运转的系统,采用定压调速时只需对其中一台泵调速即可;而采用变压调速时则必须对系统中的所有泵都调速。调速运转泵的能耗与泵压、流量和相应的效率相关,利用等效率曲线可获得不同状态的运转效率。
