为了对轧钢企业的组织、职能、活动等进行分析，以求对其内部职能部门的清楚了解，提出用领域、领域过程和领域活动概念描述轧钢企业的全部功能活动。运用系统分析及描述方法，提出象态空间概念，用此方法建立轧钢企业模型能够很好地反映企业功能特征，具有层次清晰、数据关系表达准确和优化等特点。
In order to analyze the organization, functions and activities of steel rolling enterprises in order to have a clear understanding of their internal functional departments, it is proposed to describe all the functional activities of the steel rolling enterprises by using the concepts of areas, processes and fields. By using the method of system analysis and description, the concept of the image space is put forward. By using this method, the establishment of a steel rolling enterprise model can well reflect the functional characteristics of enterprises, with the characteristics of clear hierarchy, accurate and optimized data relation expression.
