我省不少红苕产区,在红苕中后期田间管理中有进行翻藤的习惯。一般要翻二、三次,有的甚至翻多次。主张翻藤的人认为红苕翻藤可以降低土壤湿度,提高地温,防止徒长,有利于提高产量。但生产实践和科学实验证明,情况并非如此。据在红苕翻藤后的1周中测定,表土相对含水量仅降低1.6—4.5%,10厘米土层温度,仅升高0.3—0.7℃,对红苕块根的膨大起不到多大作用。相反,由于翻藤后扰乱了叶片的自然分布,损伤了大量茎叶,降低了光合效能,减少了营养
