Aspirin is reported to release slowly with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a substrate. To this end, the authors designed four suppository prescriptions to observe the effects of different concentrations of polyvinylpyrrolidone on aspirin release. The amount of polyvinylpyrrolidone added in the formulation was 0.5%, 1%, and 5%, and the dissolution test was conducted at 25 and 50 rpm at two stirring rates.
