白求恩医科大学肝病研究所名誉所长、本刊编委会主席兼总编辑叶维法教授,受美国纽约大学Mount Sinai医学中心功勋教授Hans Popper博士及肝病科主任Feton Schaffner教授的邀请,定于本年五月中旬赴纽约考察并研讨肝病科研技术问题。叶教授又受美国胃肠病学会会长Douglas B.MeGill博士的邀请,前往芝加哥出席全美消化系病周学术大会,此会由美国胃肠病学会(AGA)、美国肝病研究学会(AASLD)、美国胃肠内窥镜学会(ASGE)及美国消化道外科学会(SSAT)等联合召开,自5月9日至15日为时一周,共有1,100篇科研论文文摘在大会交流,并有胃肠病营养、炎症性肠病、治疗性内镜学等三个讲习班,还有教授及研究家午餐学术叙会,
