William Faulkner (1897-1962) is a pivotal figure in the history of American literature in the 20th century, known as the standard-bearer of Southern Renaissance and the spiritual leader of Southern literature. His voluminous volume of works, 19 novels and dozens of excellent short stories for people to write a chronicle of modern South America. His works are based on the life and destiny of the southern family figures, forming a group of works that are both independent and interrelated. They are called ”the Yakunpatafa" lineage novels by their descendants. These works make Faulkner recognized in the Western literary world
