早期的中国当代艺术,观念大过方法,作品呈现常常非常粗糙。对于方法、语言细致、系统的研究,始自年轻一代。曾经看过一届中央美院美术馆主办的青年艺术家邀请展,当时曾感慨与观念和生命体验相关的,艺术方法的多样性。严肃思考的血缘从未绝迹,在成功学之外,在艺术理论/批评缺失的小时代,在越来越犬儒的学术风气下,始终存留着星星之火。我和刘符洁的对话始终是在一种清晰的逻辑线索里,如她思考、创作,甚至可以感到对于逻辑的渴望让她更多停留在遥遥无尽的过程里,而不急于到达终点,这就是学院派的可爱之处,速度也许慢,但预设的高度在那儿摆着呢!
