本文指出1997年湖北教育出版社出版的林煌天主编《中国翻译词典》有十大优点:一、大量选入中外翻译家的生平小传;二、选收历史上重要的翻译政策与翻译机构;三、选收历史上重要的译著与译著丛刊;四、为若干刊载译著的报刊设目;五、收录重要的译著目录;六、为译史上若干重要的译名问题设立条目;七、介绍西籍汉译史和外国作家、作品在中国的翻译与传播情况;八、介绍汉籍外译史和中国著名作家作品在海外的翻译与传播情况;九、介绍少数民族文字作品的翻译史;十、为研究译史的重要论著设立专目。但同时存在着三大缺点:一、不少中国翻译史的设目方面未尽 This paper points out that there are ten major advantages of “China Translation Dictionary” published by Lin Huang in 1997 by Hubei Education Press: First, a large number of biographies of Chinese and foreign translators; Second, the selection and receipt of historically important translation policies and translation agencies; Third, the selection and receipt of historically important series of translations and translations; Fourth, for a number of published translation of the publication set; Fifth, contains important translations directory; Sixth, for the translation of history, a number of important issues of the establishment of translation issues; Seven , Introducing the history of Western Han translation and the translation and dissemination of foreign writers and works in China; (8) introducing the history of foreign nationality translation and the overseas translation and dissemination of famous Chinese writers’ work; and (9) introducing the translation of minority works of writing History; Ten, set an essay for the study of the important treatise on the history of translation.
