第三届旅美中国学人生命科学年会于1993年1月8日至10日在美国纽约市哥伦比亚大学举行。中国科学院、国家自然科学基金委员会、国家教委、北京大学、武汉大学都应邀派人出席会议,并给会议予以资助。出席这次会议的中国学人近500人(比前两届会议人数都多,第一届100多人,第二届200多人)。在会上作学术报告:大会报告29篇,分组报告56篇,还有90多份研究成果以墙报形式 The 3rd Annual Meeting of Chinese Students in Life Science in the United States was held at Columbia University in New York City from January 8 to January 10, 1993. The Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the State Education Commission, Peking University and Wuhan University were both invited to attend and give financial support to the conference. Nearly 500 Chinese scholars attended the conference (more than the previous two sessions, more than 100 in the first session and more than 200 in the second session).
