1969年,二十三岁的赵照明为支援国家三线建设,从繁华的江南名城无锡调到了兴建不久的875厂(现名东光电器厂)。从此,他与企业财会工作结下了不解之缘。事隔二十年,赵照明一跃成为了湖北省十大财会工作标兵之一、全国财会先进工作者,令人刮目相看,交口称赞。凡了解赵照明的人都清楚,他在工作中的最大特点就是有一种孜孜不倦的追求精神,也正是他的这种精神,使得他主管的财务科连续五年被荆门市会计学会和省电子工业总公司评为先进单位。“五统一”与“单轨制”事物发展难免有曲折。赵照明刚调到875厂时,由于“文革”的原因,企业财务制度不健全,基础工作薄弱,以致在会计核算与管理上存在不少漏洞,尤其是各种材料核算管理更为混乱,在入库检验、领发等方面手续很不健全,帐帐、帐物严重不符。
