Geophysicists reported in March 1980 that they found the hottest water flowing out of the earth in an important study of the seabed of the Pacific Ocean. The water was discovered by a team of scientists who were surveying the depth of 2.5 kilometers of the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and the nature of the formation along the “uplift of the Eastern Pacific” axis. They surveyed about 800 kilometers south of San Lucas Point, the tip of Mexico’s south coast to California. The expedition consisted of more than 20 scientists from the United States, France and Mexico and was co-authored by Fr-ank N.Speiss and Ken, geoscientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, C.
