As a leading global exhibition organizer, Informa Exhibitions has long been organizing successful events like Middle East Electricity and Arab Health, the biggest in the Middle East and the second biggest in the world of its kind. In recent years, the group acquired a series of promising trade shows in countries including the US, Canada, and Brazil, further expanding its business network. Each year, Informa Exhibition organizes about 150 conferences and exhibitions in about 30 cities all over the world, covering industries like life science, real estate, power and electricity, retailing, food and agriculture.
In 2005, Informa Exhibitions China was established with the headquarter office in Shanghai. In 2015, there are four offices in Asia, namely in Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Vietnam. The two core business of the China office are: organizing Chinese companies to participate in Informa exhibitions globally, and preparing for the incoming of its leading trade fairs to China.
Informa exhibitions in the category of life science and in “the third world”markets are very strong, including South Africa, Kenny, Nigeria, Egypt, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Taking South Africa as an example, as the richest country in Africa, it has a consumer population of 50,000,000 of good purchasing power. With the declining growth rate in US and European markets, South Africa has become a popular choice for those seeking new business growth points. Another good example is UAE, where Informa’s Arab Health takes place. Thanks to excellent expertise of Informa and good development momentum of local medical industry, Arab Health has been very successful. In the meantime, the space of the exhibition is exceeding the capacity of the venue. Therefore, from 2017, Informa will divide the exhibition into two sections: Arab Health and Med Lab, with an interval of two days. In this way, both the scale of the exhibition and the efficiency of business negotiation are guaranteed.
In 2015, Informa Exhibitions further grew its international network through acquisition. Its new members include FIME, the biggest medical trade show in the US, the 40 year ole World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The acquisition for some Chinese exhibitions is also in negotiation. “The cooperation with international organizers will help enhance the degree of internalization and professionalization of Chinese exhibition market.” Wei said.
With international expertise, Informa Exhibitions welcomes the idea of cooperating with industrial organizations and companies and is convinced that it will add new strength to the Chinese exhibition market.
