近年来,语文教学研究中颇为重视学生的学法,提倡培养学生的自学能力。这些研究确实有积极意义,并已取得斐然可观的成果。不过,就“教学”的全部含义来说,它毕竟包括“教”与“学”对立而统一的两大部份,终究是教师与学生共同参予的双边活动;就充分发挥教师的主导作用而言,我们对教法的研究也还远远不够。邓小平同志指出:“现在要敢于教,还要善于教。……只有教师教得好,学生才能学得好。”可见,教师的教法是不容忽视的。我们又常常引用叶圣陶先生的一句名言:“教,是为了达到不需要教。”其实,这句话中的“达到不需要教”,说的是教学的最终目的,而如何“达到不需要教”的“教”法,仍是我们必须着重研究的手段。歌德有句名言:“在限制中才显出能手,只有法则给我们以自由。”今天看来,要让学生在语文学习中获得扎实的能力和真正的自由,也不能不在
