衢州是国家历史文化名城。唐以前城郭类似城堡,宋、元城域扩大,明、清两代,城域以四隅、五古街为格局,直至清末民初街衢增多。衢州街巷名主要有四个特色。一是折射区域政治中心的历史,二是体现重要区位的军事特点,三是反映丰富的水资源文化环境,四是彰显地域经济特色。城市街巷名演变,对民俗文化研究、历史街区和区域特色地名保护,都有重要的意义。
Quzhou is a national historical and cultural city. Similar to the castle before the Tang Dynasty Castle, Song, Yuan City expanded, Ming and Qing dynasties, the city to four corners, five ancient streets for the pattern, until the end of the Qing Dynasty and the early Republican Junction increased. Quzhou street name has four main characteristics. The first is the history of the political center in the refraction zone. The second is the military characteristics that reflect the important location. The third is the reflection of the rich water resources and cultural environment. The fourth is the highlight of the regional economic characteristics. The evolvement of urban streets and alleys is of great significance to the study of folk culture, historical blocks and the protection of geographical names and geographical features.
