南澳跨海大桥钻孔平台钢管桩直径为1m,管壁厚12mm。整条桩长35~39m 不等,管桩外部加衬板,施工量大,焊接变位多,施工工艺也较复杂,故焊接方法不宜采用埋弧自动焊和半自动焊;另外,由于大桥工地地处南澳岛,岛上风沙大,也不宜使用 CO_2气体保护焊。鉴于上述原因及减小施工成本考虑,整个钢管桩制作采用手工电弧焊。虽然手工电弧焊具有设备简单,操作灵活等特点,但也容易产生各种焊接缺陷。只有有效地减少焊接缺陷的形成,才能确保管桩质量达到技术规范的要求。
