To take full advantage of NSRL’s 200MeV electron beam current, the authors performed preliminary physical design calculations for the beam transport line to the Nuclear Physics Laboratory. The results show that the design requirements can be achieved by using existing magnets as much as possible and adding only one new quadrupole so that the beam will form a cylindrical quasi-parallel beam with a diameter of no more than 7mm near the target.
