甜菜为我县经济作物之一,近年来发展很快,但栽培水平不高,单位面积产量和含糖量很低,并有逐年下降趋势。海伦县三十年来甜菜产量始终徘徊在一吨左右,每年只是增加种植面积来保证制糖工业发展的要求,而含糖率却从60年代的平均17—18%下降到70年代的15—16%,近两年平均只有14—15%。为使我县甜菜生产水平尽快搞上去,1982年开始应用综合栽培方法,摸索出提高产量和含糖率的一些途径,现综述如下:
