市场经济的运行有了不同于以往计划经济的规律性，集体主义道德适应社会主义市场经济新情况，应该体现时代特征。具体来说一要抵制个人本位思想对道德的影响，二要及时推动集体本位观的发展。个人本位的基础是私有制经济，它与个人主义道德有内在联系，与市场经济无必然关系。搞市场经济虽然要求调整所有制关系，且经济行为趋向个性化，但仍以适应社会主义经济制度的本质要求为前提，道德上要符合社会主义精神文明，不是经济利益个人化。集体本位的基础是公有制经济。在市场经济条件下它应集中体现个人意志中最本质的内容，使新的道德规范成为人们最高的价值追求，为个人的自由发展和个性普遍化提供精神动力。
The operation of the market economy is different from the regularity of the planned economy in the past. Collective morality adapted to the new situation of the socialist market economy should reflect the characteristics of the times. Specifically, we must resist the moral impact of the individual-based ideology. We must promptly promote the development of a collective standard. The foundation of the individual standard is the private ownership economy. It is intrinsically linked with individualistic morality and has no necessary relationship with the market economy. Although the market economy requires that the ownership relations be adjusted and the economic activities tend to be individualized, the socialist market economy still needs to meet the essential requirements of the socialist economic system as its prerequisite. It is ethically upheld for socialist spiritual civilization and not individualized economic interests. The collective basis is based on the public ownership economy. Under the condition of market economy, it should embody the most essential content of the will of the individual, make the new moral standard the highest value pursuit of the people and provide the spiritual impetus for the individual’s free development and individuality universality.
