慢性乙型肝炎（CHB，以下简称乙肝）是乙型肝炎病毒（HBV）持续感染导致病情不断进展的疾病。据2006年全国乙型肝炎流行病学调查表明，我国一般人群的HBsAg携带率为7．18％。据此推算，我国现有慢性HBV感染者约9300万人，其中乙肝患者约2000万例。因此，乙肝严重危害我国人民的健康。
