教学方法是教师在完成一定教学任务时所采取的手段和措施。最佳教学方法将能收到事半功倍的教学效果。教师在长期的教学实践中,通过学习、摸索、探讨,逐步形成了自己所熟悉的,并认为是行之有效的教学方法。他们各有所长,各具特点。然而由于传统教学观念的影响,自身学习和实践的局限性,以及各自的某种“习惯”和“偏爱”,不可避免地存在一些“短处”和弱点。教学中的这种“长”和“短”,教师本人往往看不太清,致使不能充分发挥其“长”,克服其“短”。
