染色体基数的确定对于桑树种质材料的倍性认定和阐明桑属植物种群的演化路线具有十分重要的作用.以来自云南省的野生蒙桑(Morus mongolica Schneid)种质资源6号和野生长穗桑(Morus wittiorum Hand-Mazz)种质资源7号的种子萌发幼苗(分别命名为云6号与云7号)叶片为材料,采用去壁低渗法制备染色体标本,对其染色体数目进行观察,发现云6号与云7号桑树幼苗的体细胞的染色体数目分别为35条和49条,即:2n=5x=35和2n=7x=49.该研究结果以蒙桑和长穗桑2个桑种的野生种质资源再次证实了桑树的染色体基数为7(x=7)的推论.“,”Determination of the cardinal chromosome number plays important role in identifying the ploidy of mulberry germplasm materials and clarifying the population evolutionary path of Morus plants.Two wild mulberry germplasm resources,namely germplasm resource No.6 of M.mongolica Schneid and germplasm resource No.7 of M.wittiorum Hand-Mazz,were collected from Yunnan Province and were named Yun 6 and Yun 7 respectively.The leaves from germinated seedlings of Yun 6 and Yun 7 were used as material to prepare chromosomal samples using wall removal and hypotonic treatment for chromosome number observation.The somatic chromosome number of Yun 6 and Yun 7 were 35 (2n =5x =35) and 49 (2n =7x =49) respectively,verifying the conclusion that the cardinal chromosome number of mulberry was 7 (x =7).
