Landslide is the phenomenon that the rock mass on the slope slides downwards along a certain soft surface (or soft belt) under the force of gravity due to various reasons. Commonly known as “mountain walking”, “hill collapse”, “ground sliding”, “soil” Slip "and so on. The upper reaches of the Yangtze River is one of the areas where landslides and mud-rock flow disasters are most concentrated in China and the hardest hit. There are more than 150,000 large and small landslides and more than 10,000 debris flows in one million square kilometers of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Soil and water loss and its extreme manifestation - frequent landslides and mudslides often lead to major disasters, seriously affecting the economic development and social stability in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In March 2004, teachers and students from Zili Elementary School in Yichang conducted a scientific investigation of the Qianqiangping area in Shazixi County after the landslide, studied the causes of landslides in the surrounding areas for many times, proposed new plans for disaster mitigation and landslide control, Quite realistic meaning.
