军旅美术创作群体是中国美术界的一个生机勃勃的群体。在全国美术创作呈现多元发展的格局下,军旅美术家异军突起,以阳刚博大、雄浑厚重的姿态,积极向上的审美价值取向,从不同的侧面展示了先进军事文化的特征和魅力,塑造我军威武之师、文明之师、胜利之师的形象,成为倡导主旋律、引领主流美术方向的中坚力量,显示出军队美术创作旺盛的生命力,丰富了中国美术的总体面貌。从学养深厚、具有丰富创作经验的老一辈,到有着扎实学院派造型功底、在艺术形式语言的探索及创作观念方面勇于创新的中青年一代,都在从不同角度、以各异的题材展示着、丰富着军旅美术创作的崭新面貌。这其中不仅有大家所熟知的、从事大型主题性创作的人物画家,军队还涌现出一批优秀的山水、花鸟画家。进入新世纪以来,全军美术创作整体态势如何?和平年代军旅美术创作中主要涵盖了哪些内容,有哪些创新发展?军旅画家是如何深入生活、体验生活,如何把握写生与主题创作的关系?军旅美术创作未来如何发展?在八一建军节即将来临之际,本期“对画、对话”栏目邀请了总政艺术局副局长李翔、解放军出版社副社长徐向群、《解放军美术书法》杂志执行主编郭兴华共同漫谈军旅美术。
