图书是精神产品,也是商品。或者说,图书的基本属性或本质属性是精神产品属性,同时也具有商品属性。它具有两重性,而不是一重性,这是客观存在的事实。我们认以图书是商品这样一个非常简单的事实,经历了一个漫长的曲折的过程。 在新中国建国初期,我们是承认图书是商品的,既看到它的精神产品属性,也看到它的商品属性。后来随着计划管理体制的逐步强化和“左”的思想的逐步升级,我们都不能讲图书的商品属性了。从50年代后期到70年代中期“文革”结束,图书是商品的观念,已成为思想禁区之一。“文革”
